A parent-teacher conference (PTC) is a short meeting between you & your child’s teacher to lớn talk about your child’s academic performance & experience at school.

These meetings help you understand what your child is learning at school, their academic & social-emotionalprogress, and what you can vị to tư vấn them. If your child is having particular difficulties, parent-teacher conferences also give you and the teacher time to plan how you can both help them best.

All parent-teacher conferences will be conducted remotely for the 2022-23 school year. Meetings with parents/caregivers may, upon request, occur in-person on a mutually agreeable date & time.

Conference Times và Scheduling

On the dates of afternoon parent-teacher conferences, students are dismissed three hours prior to lớn the regular dismissal time. Evening parent-teacher conferences will be held between 4:30PM và 8:00PM. If you have scheduling conflicts on the suggested meeting appointment time, you should work with your child’s teacher lớn schedule a mutually agreeable time.

We want all families to lớn participate in parent-teacher conferences! Interpreters are available, so please let your teacher or parent coordinator know if you need interpretation services.

Preparing for the PTC

The PTC is an opportunity for you lớn speak with your child about their experience in school, và share their questions và concerns with their teacher. Below are ways to lớn engage your child in preparation for the PTC:

Ask your child how they feel about school, and jointly prepare a short danh mục of questions or concerns that you can raise with the teacher.Ask your child what their strongest và weakest subjects are, và which ones they lượt thích most and least.Ask your child how they feel about their relationships with their teacher và their peers.
